THANK YOU for visiting my site. My name is Sara Dishke and I am a registered Bowen Therapist through the Bowen Therapy Academy of Australia. I have been practicing the Bowen Technique for over five years and believe Bowen Therapy is a miraculous modality worthy of integration into Alberta’s health care model. Homeopathy, Flower Essences, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), and Raindrop Therapies are other services I offer in my practice. Whole body holistic healing is my passion and I hold a strong belief in the body, mind, spirit connection as well as the promotion of emotional health and its contribution to overall health and well-being.

Dedication to client care is my main priority and my goal is to ensure clients get results and truly experience their own body’s innate capacity to heal. Finely tuned therapy skills are essential in my whole body approach to client care and I stay current and up-to-date on the latest techniques and information on the therapies I practice. I participate yearly in advanced Bowen Therapy classes through Bowtech and work hard to promote Bowen Therapy in my community. I have studied homeopathy for three years from Naturopathic Doctor – Lise Maltaise Bsc.,ND, of Comox, BC and, with great passion, I continue studies through the British School of Homeopathy. Educating clients on the importance of being active and responsible for their own health is a large part of my practice and I often teach basic homeopathic information classes and EFT. Doing this provides my clients with the necessary tools so they can take action and implement positive changes in their own lives when they leave my clinic.

I currently practice at The Northwest Naturopathic and Bowen Therapy Centre located in the North West of Calgary near Brentwood Station. This clinic is the first Bowen Therapy Centre in Calgary and I am proud to be a part of its development.

Registered with the Association of Massage Therapist and Wholistic Practitioners (AMTWP)
Registered with with the North American Society of Homeopaths (NASH), and the West Cost Homeopathic Council in BC.
Completion of the Usui Reiki Master/Teacher Level and I teach Reiki levels 1, 2 and 3, through out the year.

My Bowen Therapy Story:

After sustaining multiple, long-standing injuries to my back over the years, I had tried massage and chiropractic for about three years and experienced minimal relief. After my second child was born I started experiencing a significant increase in back pain that other treatments were not able to help with. My chiropractor suggested Bowen Therapy and so, not knowing what it was or how it worked, I have it a try. The results were truly amazing. The day of my first Bowen Therapy treatment I had a pain level of about eight out of 10. After my initial session my pain level was considerably reduced to a 2-3, and that lasted for more than five days. I was then able to significantly reduce the pain medications and muscle relaxants I had been taking to help me cope. After the second Bowen Therapy treatment the increased mobility and range of motion I experienced lasted more than a week and each time continued to get better and better. After a series of Bowen Therapy treatments I was able to go 4-6 weeks between treatments with minimal discomfort and no medications. As a result of these bowen treatments, I discovered that other chronic issues such as sinus problems and headaches had resolved themselves. I became so grateful and intrigued by Bowen that asked how I could learn to practice Bowen Therapy and what type of training I required. I did some research and within months I went to my first Bowen Therapy course and I have been practicing ever since.

Bowen Therapy has allowed me to help many people and it has changed my life. I am very grateful to have experienced such discomfort in order to find my way to Bowen Therapy and its great benefits. I am now able to help many other people on their own healing journeys and that is an amazing gift.
